Kaleidoscope’s team has a combined 120 years of experience working in the healthcare business operations area. We strive to become a partner with our clients and provide value and relationship based services. We work with start-up practices, established practices, practices that are winding down, as well as non-profit groups and federally qualified health centers.

Sandy Rutherford, Principal/Co-owner
Sandy has over 25 years of business experience in benefits and human resource administration, project management and business operations. Strengths include building system and process efficiencies, creating strategic plans, and delivering on targeted goals. Sandy has expertise in revenue cycle management, workflow process design, policy and procedure development, human resources, client services, contract negotiation, and vendor relations. She is currently the Chair of the Minnesota Medical Group Management Association’s Government Affairs Committee and a past-president of the Association.
Mike Brendalen, Principal/Co-owner
Mike has over eighteen years in Revenue Cycle Management and business operations management. Strengths include revenue cycle management leadership and analytics, ensuring a team delivers the Key Performance Indicators (KPI) a practice needs to meet to stay viable. Since 2014 Mike has been a member of the Minnesota Medical Group Management Association (MMGMA). Mike served as the Chair of the MMGMA Payer Relations Committee (PRC) from 2016 to 2018. He remains very active on this committee ensuring a relationship with the Minnesota payer community.
Deni (Denise) Adams, Coding and Compliance
Deni has been with Kaleidoscope for over 16 years and manages the coding and compliance divisions. Strengths include extensive experience and expertise in E/M and specialty coding, and revenue cycle management. Deni is very active with the American Association of Professional Coders and travels nationwide to present coding and revenue cycle management education to members. Deni’s coding certifications include CPC, CPB, CPPM, CEMC, and CCA.
Gabe Andrade, Credentialing
Gabe has been with Kaleidoscope for over 17 years and manages the credentialing services department. Strengths include knowledge of PECOS, MCC and CAQH processes including trouble-shooting when issues arise. Gabe works directly with our clients and manages the processes that help ensure an application does not get “lost in the dark” and that realistic effective dates are delivered by the payers.
Ron Shealer, CFO
Ron joined the Kaleidoscope team in 2019 just in time to help navigate the pandemic challenges. Strengths include exceptional leadership in our accounting, human resources, financial reporting and budgeting areas.
